On arrival of Namami Devi Narmade Sewa Yatra in omkareshwar chief minister of MP Shivaraj singh chouhan made some important announcements on the occasion in presence of juna akhada chief Acharya mahamandaleshwar Swami Shri Avdheshanand Ji , Sadhvi Ritambhara and other hindu sants
- Stoppage of pilgrimage tax in Omkareshwar (entry type tourist tax)
- Continuous flow of river Narmada at selected places
- Ban on selling of wines within 5 kilometres of Narmada river
- Also announced plans to include a chapter on life and preaching of Adi Shankaracharya in school syllabus.
