Shri Mata Anandmayi Ashram

Shri Mata Anandmayi Ashram, Omkareshwar was established as a quiet meditation retreat on the bank of Narmada for those who wish to spend time in a beautiful natural setting, practicing meditation in a charged and uplifting environment. In the ashram grounds are many beautiful sites for meditation. Ashram has five temples in the premises; one of Anandamayi Ma, another of Lord Shiva, one of Sri Narmada Mata, and two small welcoming shrines of Sri Hanuman and Bhairav Shiva at the two entrances of the ashram.

This body tells of one sovereign remedy for all ills: God. Trust in Him, depend on Him, accept whatever happens as His dispensation, regard what you do as His service, keep satsang, think of God with every breath, and live in His Presence. Leave all your burdens in His hands and He will see to everything; there will be no more problems. 

All this, which is His creation, is under His dispensation, in His Presence, and is verily He Himself. In whatever state He keeps anyone at any time, it is all for the good, for verily everything is ordained by Him, and is of Him. Relative happiness, which is happiness depending on anything, must end in grief. It is man’s duty to meditate on God Who is peace itself. The Omkareshwar School ( Mata Anandmayi Tripura Vidyapeeth)

Mata Anandamayi Tripura Vidypeeth has continued to grow through the years, by Ma’s grace and generous inspired help, both private and through selfless organizations. The school began in July, 2001 with only the first three standards, but each year a new grade is added. To date (2011), the school offers up through 12th standard and houses nearly 550 students.We now offer a complete education from Kindergaten (ages 6 years) through High School (ages 18-19). After graduation, students are situated in local colleges and vocational training programs.
